Each independent school will have their own admissions process. They can use tests designed by exam boards such as ISEB or CEM, or the schools can simply design their own tests. Some schools will have multiple stages in their admissions process, where children may need to take an online exam first, such as the ISEB or CEM, before then doing an exam designed by the school itself.
