About King Edward VI Academy
King Edward VI is a small, bi-lateral rural academy catering for students between the ages of 11-19, in the rural market town of Spilsby. Bi-lateral means that they are a secondary academy with a grammar stream in each year of entry. Students are organised into groups of similar ability, taking into account their 11+ results and recommendations received from primary headteachers. This means the most able students achieve the highest academic standards in the best grammar school tradition. The academy caters for all abilities and offers a full range of curriculum opportunities in modern, purpose-built facilities, enjoying the latest technologies.

Preparation for Independent School 11 Plus Exams
Often we will find parents are asking their children to sit an 11 Plus exam for a grammar school in September and then are going on to sit an Independent School 11 Plus exam the following January.
